TERMS & CONDITIONS


The following are the official terms and conditions of Beauty of the USAŽ. Contestants must read and adhere to these terms and conditions in order to participate in the Beauty of the USAŽ program. To be eligible:

  1. Contestant must be a minimum of 18 years of age and no older than 27 years of age by May 1st of competition year. Proof of age required.
  2. Contestant must be at least 5'6".
  3. Contestant must be a natural-born female.
  4. Contestant must be a U.S. citizen and a resident of the U.S.
  5. Contestant must be of good health & moral character.
  6. Contestant must have a beautiful face and well-toned body.
  7. Contestant must have pleasant personality and good manners.
  8. Contestant must be single, never have been married and must have never bore a child.
  9. Contestant must never have been convicted of a felony crime.
  10. Contestant must possess very good communication skills in English.
  11. Contestant must not be bound by any agreement that would prevent her from signing and fulfilling the contestant contract.
  12. Contestant will be subject to an entry fee. The entry fee is non-refundable if the contestant withdraws from or fails to participate in the competition. The entry fee is necessary to cover production expenses, advertising, venue rentals, printing, administrative work, gifts and prizes, and miscellaneous operational expenses.
  13. Contestant must never have nor will sher during her reign pose for any photography, video or film associated with nudity or pornography. Nor has she ever or is presently involved with any type of employment involving partial or full nudity.
  14. Contestant agrees to abide by all rules and regulations of Beauty of the USA competition.
  15. Contestant will permit Critical BeautyŽ and its licensees the right to use the contestant's photograph for publicity purposes in connection with all Beauty of the USAŽ competitions.
  16. Contestant will permit Critical BeautyŽ and its licensees to film or videotape any portion or all of the competition.
  17. Contestant understands that Critical BeautyŽ reserves the right to change the dates & location of the Beauty of the USAŽ National pageant.
  18. Contestant understands that Critical BeautyŽ reserves the right to deny an applicant for whatever reason.
  19. Contestant understands that if selected a winner of her competition, that for one year her professional affairs, as said winner, will be under the sole management of Critical BeautyŽ and /or its licensees and that she will not give any written or oral endorsements commercially, without the expressed permission of said same. Contestant further acknowledges that all rights for any appearances, endorsements, speaking engagements, acting roles, etc. resulting from winning or being a contestant in any regional, state or international competition affiliated with Critical BeautyŽ shall belong exclusively to same.
  20. These rules and regulations are subject to modification, as needed, without prior notice. Pageant reserves the right to make said modifications at its sole discretion.

PROCESS OF APPLICATION


To apply for the Beauty of the USA 2008 competition, the applicant must submit the following by or before July 30:

1. Fill out and submit the BEAUTY OF THE USA 2008 ENTRY FORM.

2. Three (3) digital photos (headshot, swimwear, casual)

IMPORTANT: All digital photos submitted must be in color, must be at least 200 pixels in resolution, and must be of high quality, recent, and professionally taken. We recommend that you find a good professional photographer to take your pictures. You may also invite the photographer to sponsor you or to offer you a special discount rate. Your photos will be posted in the official website and in the program book.

A panel of professional photographers will select the Most Photogenic contestant. The winner of this award will automatically advance to the semi-finals, so make sure the photos that you submit are exceptionally good.

3. A brief videoclip containing two parts. First part: a brief introduction, lasting about 30 seconds. Second part: catwalk/posing techniques, lasting about 45 seconds. The entire clip should not exceed 3 minutes. You may submit your videoclip as a videofile, or you may post it on Yahoo, Google or other free video sites and just send us the link to it.

4. Once we have received your complete application (online bio, photos), we will review it thoroughly and then advise you whether you qualify as a contestant or not. If you qualify as a contestant, we will send you an Agreement Form in WordDoc that you need to read carefully and return to us with the date and your printed name. The Agreement Form summarizes the Rules & Regulations and secures your spot in the competition.

5. We will post the bios and photos of all accepted applicants in the Beauty of the USA 2008 Contestants section by August 30th.

6. The date and the venue of the pageant will be announced sometime in mid-August, so stay tuned.

  • $500 cash prize
  • Trophy
  • Opportunity to represent U.S.A. in BEAUTY OF THE WORLD 2008 if for any reason the Titleholder cannot fulfill his obligations
  • Opportunity to represent U.S.A. in another international pageant, depending on the terms & conditions of the pageant

    SECOND RUNNER-UP

  • $400 cash prize
